The heavy ring of eight have received a major overhaul, including rehanging of bells 3 and 4 with new canon retaining headstocks and quarter turning the remaining bells. New clapper assemblies and pulleys have been provided throughout and work has taken place to the bearings and wheels. The Ellacombe chiming system has been moved, upgraded and the hammers have been converted to 'trigger action' status. The bellframe has also been cleaned down and repainted.  Whilst the tower sway still makes ringing these bells somewhat of a challenge, they are now significantly smoother to ring and easier to strike.
